Are you a refugee or asylum seeker living in Grünstadt or the surrounding countryside, called Leiningerland?

Mushroom poisoning ENG

Please find detailed information on this mushroom in your language: English, Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, Russian, Turkish, French, German.

Who we are

We are citizen volunteers who want to help refugees in our region. We are a non-governmental organization (NGO), that is, we are independent of the authorities and have nothing to do with the actual asylum process. We focus on helping individuals in need.

How we help

We know that settling into new surroundings and a previously unknown culture can be very difficult. We want to help you overcome any problems of daily life, be they large or small, to allow you to adjust as well as possible to living in Germany and Leiningerland.

In short, we are happy to be the first point of contact for any problem that you may face.

In particular, we can help you with questions such as:

  • Where can I learn to speak German?
  • Where can I practice to speak German?
  • How do you shop for groceries in Germany?
  • What should I do to see a doctor free of charge?
  • How do I register my child at school?
  • Who can help my child with homework and school problems?
  • How do I find an apartment?
  • Who can help me find furniture, and who can help me transport it?
  • Who will let me borrow some tools?
  • What do I need to do to go by bus or train?
  • Where can I get a bicycle?
  • Can I continue my education?
  • May I work?
  • Who can help with administrative formalities?
  • Who can help me with filling out forms?
  • Who can help me understand official letters?
  • Where can I get legal assistance?

If you feel lost and don’t know how to proceed, feel free to contact us. We will try our best to help.

Who we help

We seek to help all refugees and asylum seekers in Grünstadt and the surrounding area, regardless of their country of origin or the duration of their stay in Germany, and regardless of the legal status of their asylum application.
